The Metro Transit Police Department is committed to the personal safety, quality of life, and protection of property for everyone in our transit community.
The department oversees one of the country’s largest transit systems. Officers respond to and investigate all crimes reported on buses, light rail, commuter trains, facilities and right-of-ways throughout its eight county, 85+ city jurisdiction.
The MTPD has 10 specialized units:
- Homeless Action Team (HAT)
