5th Street/6th Street & Minnesota

Downtown St. Paul stations are part of the METRO Gold Line project. Design is currently underway for these stations, which are planned for construction in 2022-2023. These shared stations will serve both the B Line and Gold Line. For additional detail regarding the development of these stations, see the Gold Line website at: metrotransit.org/gold-line-design-and-engineering.

Overview map of shared Gold Line stations in downtown Saint Paul. Prior to turning onto 5th Street, eastbound B Line buses will use a Gold Line station on Smith Avenue south of 5th Street. On 5th Street, eastbound B Line buses will use Gold Line stations at Rice Park, Minnesota Street, and Robert Street before turning right onto Wacouta Street and stopping at a Gold Line station on 4th Street. From there, buses will turn left onto Kellogg Boulevard and right onto Broadway Street, where they will enter Union Depot Transit Center on the south side of Union Depot. Westbound B Line buses starting from Union Depot will turn left onto Kellogg Boulevard and then right onto Sibley Street and stopping at a Gold Line station on 4th Street. From there, westbound B Line buses will turn left onto 6th Street stopping at Gold Line stations at Robert Street, Minnesota Street, and Hamm Plaza before turning left and using the Gold Line station on Smith Avenue.
