Transit Police Capt. Jim Franklin and Senior Manager of Bus Rapid Transit/Small Starts Charles Carlson are included in Mass Transit magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40” list.
The trade publication announced the honorees on Monday, Sept. 22.
Metro Transit is the only transit agency to have two staff members included on this year’s list. Honorees were nominated by their peers for making “significant contributions to the public transit industry.”
Judging criteria included industry involvement, job commitment, innovation and achievement. “The individuals chosen for this year’s list have been standouts in their respective areas and show a strong passion and commitment that exemplifies the best of the best,” Publisher John Hollenhorst said.
Franklin leads Transit Police’s East Command, overseeing the deployment of 35 full-time officers and dozens of part-time officers.
