New Route 48 service begins Aug. 22

Daily service between downtown and NW suburbs  

Route 48 is a local bus route that will replace Route 14D and 14G service along Noble Ave., 36th Ave. N., Douglas Dr., and Duluth St./Golden Valley Rd., with routing to downtown via Penn Ave., Glenwood Ave., 7th & 8th streets, and 4th & 5th avenues. This route will connect the communities of Robbinsdale, Crystal, Golden Valley, North Minneapolis, and downtown Minneapolis.
Route 48 customers can connect to these routes and transit centers:

  • Robbinsdale Transit Center
  • Ramp B/5th Street Transit Center
  • METRO Blue, Green, and E lines on Hennepin Ave.
  • METRO Green Line Extension (upcoming) at Royalston Ave/ Farmers Market Station on Glenwood Ave
  • C and D lines on 7th St./8th St.
  • Orange Line on Marquette Ave./2nd Ave.
  • Route 14 NB on 7th St downtown and Route 14 SB at 5th Ave & 6th St.

Service will be weekdays, 5 a.m. to midnight. Saturday/Sunday, 7 a.m. to midnight.
