Quarterly service changes begin Saturday, June 15

On Saturday, June 15, Metro Transit made changes to transit service throughout the metro. As always, these quarterly service changes adapt and adjust our service based on current and projected ridership and our available resources and driver workforce.

Some highlights this quarter include:

  • Restoring service on Route 25 between downtown Minneapolis and Silver Lake Village in St. Anthony.

  • Improving frequency on Route 32 to every 20 minutes between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. seven days a week.

  • Travel times adjusted on several routes to account for summer construction.

  • Routes 21, 54, 61, 63, 64, 70, 74 & 94 will return to 6th St in downtown St. Paul.

  • METRO Blue and Green lines will operate 2-car trains, all days of the week; increasing to 3-car trains as special event demand and staffing allows.

As stability in Metro Transit’s workforce continues to improve and ridership increases, we are embarking on how to strengthen our service over the next five years - a project called Network Now.

Transit Information is available by phone (612-373-3333), text (612-444-1161) and website chat (metrotransit.org) Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and at Service Centers in downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis – hours and locations here. Customer Relations is available by phone (612-373-3333) and online Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
