E Line Corridor Plan
What is the E Line?
The METRO E Line is a planned bus rapid transit (BRT) line that will provide faster and more reliable transit service in the Route 6 corridor along University Avenue/4th Street, Hennepin Avenue, and France Avenue from the University of Minnesota to Southdale.
BRT is a package of transit enhancements that adds up to a faster trip and an improved experience on Metro Transit’s busiest bus routes. Watch a video about BRT service.
Final Corridor Plan approved in June 2022
In 2021-2022, Metro Transit completed the Final E Line Corridor Plan to identify station locations for the E Line. The Metropolitan Council approved the Corridor Plan in June 2022, establishing final station locations.
What are the next steps?
