The University of Minnesota is served by more than two dozen bus routes and the METRO Green Line so transit is an easy and stress-free way to get on (and off) campus!
Let’s work together to limit the spread of COVID-19. Learn what you can do at metrotransit.org/ready.
The Universal Transit Pass (UTP) is an unlimited ride transit pass provided to U of M undergraduate and graduate students who pay the Transportation and Safety Fee. The U Card (student ID) is the pass for this program. The UTP is valid on buses and trains in the Twin Cities metro area - including Metro Transit buses, METRO lines and suburban transit providers. It also provides a reduced fare on the Northstar commuter rail.
