Metro Transit is seeking feedback from the community to help guide the upcoming renovation of the METRO Blue Line's Franklin Avenue Station. We want to hear directly from the people who live, work, and travel in the area about what’s most important to you.
The Franklin Avenue Station renovation project is part of the Renew the Blue system restoration initiative and will help it remain a safe, reliable, and affordable transit option for many years to come!
Your input will help us understand community priorities — such as safety, accessibility, comfort, design features, and connections to nearby destinations — and ensure that improvements at the station reflect your needs and values.

The Blue Line's Franklin Avenue Station opened in 2004 and is undergoing a major renovation to address aging infrastructure, frequent elevator outages, worn components, and community safety concerns.
The Franklin Avenue Station Renovation project aims to modernize the station, enhancing its service to the community through improved accessibility, a better customer experience, reduced maintenance, and increased connectivity. As part of this effort, we are working with the community to assure the stations design reflects the neighborhood and the people it serves.
Design began in Fall 2025, and construction is scheduled to begin February 2027, lasting through December 2027.
During this event, you'll have an opportunity to view proposed designs for the station and share feedback on your priorities and preferences. There will be no formal presentation, attendees can arrive anytime during the event.
