On March 14, Metro Transit will make changes to transit service throughout the metro. As always, these quarterly service changes are being made to ensure we’re providing reliable service that meets your needs.
The improvements are part of an ongoing effort to expand access and adapt service based on changes in travel patterns. The improvements are outlined in the agency’s Network Now framework, informed by rider and community feedback. The Network Now framework is now 42% implemented.
Some highlights this quarter include:
- Frequency improvments on Routes 17, 22, 25, 94, 270, and 804
- Schedule and routing adjustments on several routes due to upcoming construction season.

ROUTE 2 (PDF)
- Schedule will be adjusted due to upcoming Franklin Ave. construction.
ROUTE 3 (PDF)
- 30-minute service will begin an hour earlier at 8:30 a.m. for westbound trips on Sundays.
- Eastbound trips on Saturday will shift 10 minutes later between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Some Sunday evening Route 3S trips will become 3E trips.
ROUTE 4 (PDF)
- Schedule will be adjusted to better reflect actual travel time.
- Trips ending at Marquette & 1st St. will now end at 1st Ave. & 1st. St.
ROUTE 17 (PDF)
- Route will begin running every 15 minutes on Sundays between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
ROUTE 18 (PDF)
- Schedule will be adjusted due to upcoming Nicollet Ave. construction.
ROUTE 22 (PDF)
- Frequency will improve all days between Lyndale Ave. N & 45th Ave. N and the VA Medical Center; every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Schedule will be adjusted for upcoming Cedar Ave. construction.
- New timepoint added at Roosevelt High School to denote school day only trips.
ROUTE 25 (PDF)
- Frequency will improve on weekdays to every 30 minutes during rush hour and 60 minutes during the midday and will operate between Northtown Transit Center and downtown Minneapolis.
- Route will begin running every 60 minutes on Saturdays
- Route 25 service to Old Hwy. 8 and Co. Rd. H Park & Ride will be discontinued and replaced with Route 804.
- Schedule will be adjusted for upcoming Hwy. 280 construction.
