Mall of America officials notified Metro Transit that brief overnight closures at Mall of America Transit Station are necessary and will begin at 2:10 a.m. through 3:45 a.m. The closures will be now be enforced seven days a week during these same hours.
Our dedication and service to our customers during the scheduled hours of operation remains strong.
In the case of late service overnight on Friday evenings and Saturday evenings, the last train leaving Mall of America Transit Station at 3:39 a.m. will now remain in service for an additional trip, carrying passengers to Franklin Avenue Station and stations in between. This is additional service to allow for more opportunities for riders to reach final destinations.
At Franklin Avenue Station, the METRO Blue Line will be out of service before resuming service at approximately 4 a.m. at Target Field Station.
Passengers will be notified at each stop through the public address system that Mall of America Transit Station is closed and of the need to exit the last train at or before Franklin Avenue Station.
