Nicollet Mall Frequently Asked Questions

A: Nicollet Mall routes have been operating on Hennepin Avenue since late 2015 while the City of Minneapolis rebuilt Nicollet Mall. Now that construction is complete, regular bus service can return to the Mall.
Q: Will schedules change?
A: Schedules will be adjusted in response to the new routing. New printed schedules will be available in late November.
Q: What amenities will bus stops on Nicollet have?
A. Throughout the month of December contractors will be working to install shelters that will include heat and lights. All stops also will have NexTrip real-time information displays, which will be installed around the end of the year. NexTrip signs will undergo a period of testing in January before installation is complete.
Q. What about Free Ride Buses?
A: Customers can ride for free by boarding southbound Route 10 or 59 buses or northbound Route 18 buses marked “Free Ride” between Washington Avenue and the Convention Center.
Q. Will late-night boarding locations also move?
A: Yes. See individual route maps for late-night line-ups.
