New filtering options now available for Rider Alerts
Posted | Oct. 2, 2025
Metro Transit recently rolled out new options for Rider Alert email and text subscriptions. Beyond selecting a route, you can now further customize the alerts you receive, by:
• Selecting the days of the week and times of day that you use routes
• Setting up multiple subscriptions with different day/time/route combinations, and naming your different subscriptions

The new options will allows you to receive alerts that are more relevant. Multiple subscriptions with different route, day and time combinations can be set up, and each individual subscription can be separately edited, temporarily paused (i.e., you can stop receiving alerts for that subscription until you choose to resume them) or deleted if no longer needed.
Rider alerts accounts that existed before these new options became available are currently set up to have all days and times selected for their routes, and receive all alerts for those routes, like they did before the change. To update your account, or sign up for rider alerts, go to metrotransit.org/alertsregister.
