ST. PAUL – (Aug. 23) – Bus service on eight local routes that operate in St. Paul and the east metro will be expanded beginning tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 24.
The following routes will benefit from improvements in trip frequency, additional evening and weekend service and/or new trips running earlier and later in the service day.
Route 21 – between Marshall Ave. and downtown St. Paul
Route 54 – West 7th Street between downtown St. Paul, MSP Int’l airport and the Mall of America
Route 62 – Rice St. between Little Canada and downtown St. Paul
Route 64 – between Maplewood Mall and downtown St. Paul
Route 65 – Dale St. between Rosedale and Selby Avenue
Route 68 – Jackson and Robert streets between St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights
Route 74 – Randolph Ave., W. 7th St., between downtown St. Paul and Highland
Route 87 – Raymond Ave. between Rosedale and Highland
Specific changes to route schedules are available at metrotransit.org and in Metro Transit’s newsletter, Connect, available on buses and trains and via e-mail.
Operational savings – particularly due to ongoing fuel conservation efforts – have permitted these planned service additions on existing bus routes.
