Downtown Wayfinding Plan kicks off!

Posted |

Metro Transit is developing a transit wayfinding strategy within downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul. The goal is to create a clear, intuitive, and accessible wayfinding system for the various transit routes and stations to help customers better navigate the downtown areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

What is "wayfinding?"

Wayfinding is the system of signs, maps, and tools that help people figure out where they are, where they need to go, and how to get there. Good wayfinding makes getting around feel simple and intuitive, helping people move easily between transit stops, destinations, and services without getting confused.

How can you participate?

Please visit the project website and take one of the following actions:

  • Have 5 minutes? Add two pins about your transit experience to the downtown maps.
  • Have 10 minutes? Take the project survey.
  • Have a little more time? Share your email address if you’re interested in being part of a focus group and hearing about other ways to stay involved. Focus group space is limited, and not all interested participants will be selected.
