Four ways to pay for Seniors 65 and older

1. ID Card

Simply show your “T” endorsed MN state driver’s license or ID to your driver to receive your discounted rate. To receive an ID with "T" endorsement, fill out a driver's license renewal form at any Driver and Vehicle Services office. On the form, check the box near the limited mobility box that certifies your age and requests the "T" endorsement.

2. Reduced Fare Go-To Card

For an easier way to pay your fare, get a Reduced Fare Go-To Card, which is programmed to automatically deduct the Reduced Fare. Using the Reduced Fare Go-To Card is super convenient since you don’t need to show I.D. when you ride. To get your card, go to a Metro Transit service center or complete a mail order form and include a photocopy of your ID.

3. TAP (Transit Assistance Program) Card

Eligible Seniors can also enroll in the TAP program, when using the TAP card rides are just $1 all day long.

For more details and to see if you are eligible, visit metrotransit.org/tap

4. New Metro Transit App

The new Metro Transit mobile app makes it even more convenient to ride with your discounted fare.

No tickets, cards or cash. Just use your discounted digital ticket from your smartphone.

Download the app today from metrotransit.org/app and use on your Apple or Android smartphone.
