The Metro Transit Police Department is looking for energetic individuals who want to be the difference they want to see. Current openings include:
- Full-Time Police Officer: Receive a $4,000 to $8,000 hiring bonus. Applications accepted on a continuous basis.
- Community Service Officer: Receive up to $18,000 in tuition reimbursement. Applications accepted on a continuous basis.
- Community Service Officer Pathway Program: Earn free college credits and start your career in law enforcement.
The Metro Transit Police Department is committed to the personal safety, quality of life, and protection of property for everyone in our transit community. 
The department oversees one of the country’s largest transit systems. Officers respond to and investigate all crimes reported on buses, light rail, commuter trains, facilities and right-of-ways throughout its eight county, 60+ city jurisdiction.
The MTPD has 11 specialized units:
- Homeless Action Team (HAT)
