Reduce your fine
Individuals who receive their first administrative citation can have their fine reduced or waived in several ways.
Fines can be waived by:
• Putting $20 in stored value on a Go-To Card or by buying $20 in fares through the Metro Transit app.
• Viewing the Transit School video at a Metro Transit Service Center and putting $10 in stored value on a Go-To Card or buying $10 in fares through the Metro Transit app.
• If you qualify for the Transit Assistance Program (TAP), apply, then load $5 in stored value to a TAP card. TAP makes public transit more affordable for people with lower incomes. For program details, visit metrotransit.org/TAP.
Note: Purchases must be verified by calling 612-349-7303 or by visiting a Metro Transit Service Center.
Fines can be reduced to $25 by viewing the Transit School video at a Metro Transit Service Center.
