Facilities Maintenance positions

Public Facilities Worker

Maintain and clean public facilities, transit centers, and Park & Ride facilities. Ability to operate lawn care equipment up to 24 inches wide, including push mowers, weed whips, and leaf blowers. Snow removal equipment will be used as well as industrial cleaning equipment like power washers.

Utility Locator

Locate and mark underground utilities and coordinate with others to protect transit infrastructure.

Salary Range: $70,616 - $114,628 annually

Senior Technical Trainer

Design and deliver technical training programs to support maintenance and operational staff.

Salary Range: $89,232 - $144,830 annually

Facilities Technician (Special Boiler's License or higher)

Facilities Technicians maintain and repair Metro Transit buildings, shelters, and transit stations across the Twin Cities. Responsibilities include operating and repairing HVAC systems, boilers, lighting, and other essential facility equipment, as well as performing snow removal, landscaping, and minor construction tasks. Requires a State of Minnesota Special Boiler’s License or higher and a Class A CDL. These full-time roles offer a Monday-Friday daytime schedule – no weekends required.

Pay: Start at $40.70 per hour, $4,000 hiring bonus.
