Two ways to buy State Fair Express bus tickets

Buy your tickets in advance and save!

1. Use the Metro Transit App

Traveling solo or with the whole family? The Metro Transit app makes it easy to buy round-trip tickets for yourself or a group and get a discount on State Fair Express fare. Purchase discounted tickets before or during the fair, right from your phone. Metro Transit account required. 

After the Fair, keep using the app to pay for rides for future events and quick access to trip planning tools.

2. Apple Pay or Google Pay

If you’re visiting from out of town or prefer a one-time purchase, open your phone’s camera and point it at the QR code posted at your Park & Ride location. A link will pop up to buy a round-trip ticket for yourself or a group using Apple Pay or Google Pay. Just make sure your mobile wallet is set up ahead of time.

Tickets can be used one time only. Disabled veterans ride free by showing a "Service Connected" ID. Go-To Cards and passes, tokens, and coupons are not accepted on State Fair Express buses.
