Sex trafficking

Help end the exploitation of our kids

The FBI has identified the Twin Cites as one of the nation’s 13th largest centers for child prostitution – the vast majority of them girls.

The Metropolitan Transit Police department is partnering with local child advocacy groups to raise awareness of the problem of sex trafficking.

Know the signs

A young person may be a victim of sex trafficking if he or she:

• Looks fearful or depressed, and is not on his or her own

• Is being closely watched

• Does not have possession of any personal identification or money

• Shows signs of physical abuse

Help us to spot and assist those in need. If you have reason to believe that someone is a victim of sex trafficking, please call the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline at 1-888-373-7888. If you have an emergency, call 911.
