In 2016, Knitteapolis contacted Metro Transit because she wanted to “yarn bomb” a city bus. The handrails were wrapped in green yarn and dotted with a colorful array of knitted leaves, flowers, mushrooms, and vines that gave the bus a forested feel. Much of the work, coordinated by Knitteapolis, was done by The Minnesota Machine Knitters Guild and the Minnesota Knitters Guild. The art was displayed for two months.
