30th Avenue Ramp Public Art

Mural project at 30th Avenue Station Park & Ride

The heated stairwell at the 30th Avenue Station Park & Ride has five colorful 10’ x 10’ printed murals. In order to support Facilities Maintenance, the Public Art in Transit program has installed five large vinyl printed murals by five local artists. The walls on which the murals now reside is often a target of graffiti. These printed murals have a surface that is easy to clean. The murals will be observed for three years to determine if they cause a reduction in maintenance in terms of graffiti. If, after three years, they prove to deter graffiti, permanent painted murals may be installed.
