In 2018, local artist, Ashley Mary, was hired to paint the glass walls of a waiting area at Uptown Transit Station to beautify the location. The installation also created opportunities for people to take selfies and post them to Metro Transit’s social media pages with the hasthtag #ColorPopBusStop. The art remained up for the summer and into the fall.

Ashley Mary is a Minnesota-based multi-disciplinary artist, with an MA in Graphic/Web Design from MCAD. Her creative practice expands from her studio work in mixed-mediums with a primary focus on acrylics and stained glass to commercial work in product and graphic design, as well as mural installations.
