Hennepin & 33rd Street Station
In 2018, Hennepin Avenue was rebuilt between Lake Street and 36th Street. Metro Transit worked with the City of Minneapolis to design bus stops at 33rd Street and 36th Street that would be large enough to accommodate future BRT platforms on the E Line. Adding a BRT station at Hennepin & 36th Street will still require underground and surface-level construction, but the final layout of the street is not anticipated to significantly change from existing conditions.
