Let Metro Transit take you to Target Field.
There's service from all over the metro.

- Let the past be your guide: Target Field is only 12 blocks across downtown from the Metrodome. What you did for games at the Metrodome should work just fine for Target Field.
- Come early/stay late: If you are taking a bus or Hiawatha light rail, plan to take time before and after games to experience all that downtown Minneapolis and the Warehouse District have to offer – with the added benefit of avoiding transportation delays.
Bus
These bus routes stop at or near Target Field:

- From the south: 5, 14, 22
Guaranteed nonstop service to every game. Ride the Twins Express (Route 679), with game-day service to all regular-season home games from the I-394 & County Road 73 Park & Ride ramp in Minnetonka. Buses leave every 15 minutes for two hours before each game; return service is offered for an hour after the last out. Learn more about the Twins Express (Route 679).
Hiawatha Light Rail
Before the game:
- • Park for free and hop on! Park in one of 2,800 free spaces at the 28th Avenue, Fort Snelling and Lake Street/Midtown stations and get an Event 6-Hour Pass for an easy roundtrip.
- • Hop on downtown. You'll be at the park in minutes! Rides from downtown are just 50¢ each way. Buy a Downtown Zone roundtrip pass for $1 from rail station ticket machines – no waiting in the ticket line after the game! Get more details.
- • If trains are full, consider a bus. On 4th Street, next to Metrodome Station, board any route 3, 16 or 50 bus and ride to Ramp B/5th Street Transit Center, just outside center field. Or on 7th Street, board any route 5, 19 or 22 and get off at Target Center, just a half-block from Target Field.
After the game:
- • Don't let the line for the train intimidate you. We operate as many trains as possible so waiting time is generally 10-15 minutes.
- • Take a bus downtown. Walk to Ramp B/5th Street Transit Center outside center field. Board routes 3, 16 or 50 for service along 4th Street.
- • Extra service following day games. Metro Transit will supplement post-game trains with buses to Fort Snelling, 28th Avenue and Mall of America. Note: extra buses are available only after weekday afternoon games when commuter demand for trains is high.
