Free rides on Metro Transit
Fares are free for Metro Mobility-certified riders on Metro Transit buses, METRO lines, and Northstar.
Simply tap your Metro Mobility ID card on the Go-To Card reader to access the free fare and validate your trip. Limited Mobility customers do not qualify for the free ride program but can still receive a reduced fare.

Other transit options
- Limited mobility customers qualify for reduced fares. Learn more about fares.
- You may qualify for the Transit Assistance Program (TAP). It makes public transit more affordable for people with lower incomes. TAP provides a year-long reduced-fare pass on a Go-To Card. Customers can use a bus or train for just $1 per ride – even during rush hour – with a 2½ hour transfer.
