Plan ahead, learn your Snow Reroute
A Snow Reroute is your regular route with some minor changes that allow buses to operate safely during severe weather conditions. When street conditions become unfavorable due to weather, the first priority is safety. Buses will run on major streets and highways that are cleared first by snow removal crews.
Find your route below to be prepared if weather prompts a change in bus service.

Call TransitLine at 612-341-4287. If a Snow Reroute is declared, TransitLine will play Snow Reroutes as they are listed in this brochure. If TransitLine gives normal schedule times, Snow Reroutes are not in effect.
By TV or radio
In addition, local radio and television stations will be notified that Snow Reroutes will go into effect. Local stations also will be updated periodically on the status of buses during less severe winter storms.
Stay tuned to one of these stations to find out if and when buses will begin operating on Snow Reroutes.

If you must travel, put safety first
When extreme winter conditions exist, it is always safest to stay where you are. If you must travel, the bus or train is often your best commuting option.
Buses traveling during heavy snow and ice conditions will stop on level surfaces where it is safe to do so. Remain on the side of the road or away from the edge of the rail platform until the bus or train comes to a complete stop. Remember, dress warmly and expect delays.
If you must drive, consider a carpool. Use extra caution and listen to the stations listed here to find out when Snow Reroutes are in effect. Most importantly, take the time to learn your Snow Reroute before the storm hits.
After the storm – the return to regular service
Depending on the severity of the winter storm, it may take several hours to several days for buses to return to their regular routes. Again, check with us by phone, online or listen to the listed stations to find out when regular service will resume.
