Main Events

Union Depot StationAfter the 9 a.m. official ribbon cutting, there will be a full day of live music programmed by The Current, a gallery of Lowertown artists and a display of finalists from the Green Line commemorative poster contest. Come and explore Union Depot! The event site will be a connecting point for private events happening in and around Lowertown. Organized by the Metropolitan Council. See itinerary.

 

Target Field Station"Catch a Taste of the Warehouse District" – See TC Bear from the Twins, participate in interactive games with the Timberwolves and Lynx, and taste samples from Warehouse District/North Loop restaurants. A full day of live music is planned, programmed by 96.3 K-TWIN, along with family activities. Organized by Metro Transit. See itinerary.

West Bank StationWest BankThe West Bank event will offer a neighborhood festival atmosphere with an international flair. East African community leaders will present arts, dance and cultural showcases. Local theaters will offer tours and the neighboring businesses will host a dance event and other activities. Stadium Village StationStadium VillageThis sports-themed event will feature appearances by Vikings and Gophers mascots, talent and cheerleaders, sports activities for families and samples from Stadium Village restaurants. Northrop Auditorium will continue to celebrate its reopening and promote future performances; local music will enliven the main stage. Raymond Ave StationRaymond AveCreativity will abound at Raymond Station. From grand public art projects to demonstrations from makers, doers and performers of all types, the full breadth of the Creative Enterprise Zone will be on display. Live music, art and food are only the beginning of what you’ll encounter. Whether it’s the human sculptures or mobile mural, the roller revolution or the sParkIt trailer, this party will have you buzzing. See itinerary.

 

Hamline Ave StationHamline AveA State Fair-themed event, complete with a Midway, Kidway, Grandstand and International Bazaar will feature Little Africa shops and restaurants. Includes a showcase from Gordon Parks High School, animal educators from Como Park Zoo, the Choo Choo Bob Show and a “coupon-on-a-stick” to encourage people to explore restaurants via a fleet of pedal-cabs. Organized by the Midway Chamber of CommerceSee itinerary.

 

Victoria St StationVictoria StThis event celebrates the art, culture and history of the Rondo, Summit-U and Frogtown neighborhoods, with the Rondo Days Grill King 2nd Annual BBQ. Look for music, dance, youth performances, historical exhibits and bike activities led by Bikes for Change and Nice Ride. Organized by Model Cities and Aurora St. Anthony Neighborhood Development CorporationSee itinerary.

 

Western Avenue StationWestern AvenueStop by Western Station to "Explore Little Mekong." During the day they’ll celebrate the launch of the Green Line with family-friendly art activities, cultural performances on its main stage, and community food and craft vendors. They’ll kick-off their summer-long Asian Night Market from 5 pm – 10 pm with around 50 food and retail vendors, plus entertainment will create a lively market atmosphere in the parking lot behind Mai Village. Organized by the Asian Economic Development AssociationSee itinerary. 
 

Central StationCentralThis event will feature an outdoor music stage at the station and a “Skyway Open” mini-golf tournament that will allow visitors to explore skyway businesses and restaurants between Central Station and Union Depot. Disability advocates will participate in the inaugural train ceremony. Organized by a group of downtown business owners, led by the St. Paul Area Chamber of CommerceSee itinerary.
