These routes changed on May 30
Effective May 30, changes were made to routes operated by Metro Transit, Minnesota Valley Transit Authority and Maple Grove Transit.
This list is an overview of the changes. If your route is listed, please pick up an updated schedule for details. Schedules are available on buses and trains, at metrotransit.org and at Metro Transit stores and outlets.

Attention northwest metro customers
Metro Transit is updating routes in the northwest metro to meet growing residential and employment needs, changing travel patterns and new demographics.
Look for changes on these routes in the northwest metro:
Routes 705, 715, 716, 717, 755, 756 and 767.
Other routes in the area haveminor schedule changes.
A brochure with a map of routes and additional information on the changes is available on buses now.

Route 2 (eff. May 26)
• Service will be reduced due to low U of M summertime demand.
Route 3 (eff. May 26)
• Service will be reduced due to low U of M summertime demand.
Route 4
• Buses will return to their regular route on Lyndale Ave. between 46th St. and Diamond Lk. Rd.
• The timepoint at 46th & Nicollet will be eliminated.
• Schedule times will be adjusted due to the end of the detour.
Route 5
• Buses will operate on Park, Portland and 10th Ave. during the long-term closure of Chicago Ave.
between Franklin and 28th St.
• Schedule times will be adjusted due to the Chicago Ave. detour.
Route 11
• Buses will serve 46th & Nicollet when the 46th Street bridge reopens (anticipated mid-July).
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 14
• Route 14C and 14F trips will travel on Chicago Ave. between 54th and 57th streets to provide connections with Route 5 buses.
• A timepoint will be added at Chicago & 56th.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 16 (eff. May 26)
• Service will be reduced due to low U of M summertime demand.
Route 18
• The 5 a.m. northbound trip at Nicollet Ave. & 32nd St. will instead start at Nicollet Ave. & 66th St. in response to customer demand.
• The following trips will be eliminated: the northbound trip leaving Nicollet & 46th at 5:54 a.m. and the southbound trips leaving Nicollet Mall & 3rd St. at 5:20 and 6:39 a.m. Schedules for trips leaving around those times will be adjusted to better match customer demand.
• The 3:10 p.m. northbound trip at Nicollet Ave. & 38th St. will instead start at Nicollet & 46th.
• The 10:45 p.m. southbound trip on Saturday will extend to 104th St. & Devonshire.
• Weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedule times will be adjusted to better match customer demand.
Route 19
• Route 19 buses will no longer serve Lake Dr. and Robbinsdale Transit Center. See Route 717 for
alternate service to Robbinsdale Transit Center from Lake Dr. west of France Ave.
• The temporary routing on Thomas north of 42nd, 44th, Upton and 45th will end.
Route 50 (eff. May 26)
• Service will be reduced due to low U of M summertime demand.
Route 55 (Hiawatha Line) (eff. April 18)
• Trains are operating hourly after 11:15 p.m. due to construction projects.
Route 61
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 84
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 9 4
• An added eastbound 94D trip will leave 5th Street Garage at 6:10 a.m.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 111/113/114/115 (eff. May 26)
• Service will be reduced due to low U of M summertime demand.
Route 118 (eff. May 26)
• Service will be reduced due to low U of M summertime demand.
Route 152 (eff. May 26)
• Service will be reduced due to low U of M summertime demand.
Route 250
• Afternoon schedule times will be adjusted to better match customer demand.
• Buses will follow a new routing near Medtronic.
Route 255
• This route will be eliminated due to low customer demand. Alternate service to Wells Fargo is
available on Route 250.
Route 270
• The westbound trip leaving Maplewood Mall Park & Ride at 8:14 a.m. will serve the Park & Rides at Hwy. 61 & Cty. Rd. C. and Hmong American Alliance Church.
• The timepoint at Leamington Ramp will be eliminated due to the uncertainty of service to the ramp during downtown construction. Signs will be posted if service to Leamington Ramp is terminated.
• The schedule times for trips serving Hwy. 244 & Hwy. 120 will be corrected.
Route 272 (eff. May 26)
• Service will be reduced due to low U of M summertime demand.
Route 535/576/597
• New printed schedules will reflect the detour in downtown for all three routes.
Route 535
• The bus stops at 46th St. and northbound Lake St. will be temporarily closed due to construction.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 589
• To avoid signal delays, buses will operate on 98th St. between Nesbitt Ave. and Normandale Village
instead of Normandale Blvd. between 94th St. and Normandale Village.
• Northbound buses from 86th St. & Bush Lk. Rd. and from Normandale Village will leave several minutes earlier.
Route 652 (eff. May 26)
• Service will be reduced due to low U of M summertime demand.
Route 675
• An added trip leaves Co. Rd. 73 Park & Ride at 5:28 a.m., arriving at 7th & Nicollet at 5:50 a.m. (eff. March 17)
• Several mid-day trips will be operated with articulated (accordion-style) buses.
• The 3:57 p.m. westbound trip from Gateway Ramp will be eliminated.
• Early morning schedule times will be adjusted to better match customer demand and traffic conditions.
• See Route 756 for additional service between Louisiana Transit Center, General Mills Park & Ride and downtown Minneapolis.
Route 705/755/756
Route 705 NEW!
• This new crosstown route, which features hourly service, will operate primarily on Winnetka Ave.
and connect Brooklyn Park, New Hope, Crystal, Golden Valley and St. Louis Park.
• Buses will serve Wal-Mart Supercenter in Brooklyn Park, Starlite Transit Center and Louisiana Ave. Transit Center.
• This route provides weekday service between 5:15 a.m. and 9:15 p.m.
• Buses will have timed transfers with Route 675 at Louisiana Transit Center for easy access
to downtown Minneapolis and Ridgedale.
• Route 705A trips will operate on Medicine Lk. Rd., Mendelssohn, Plymouth and 10th Ave.
• Route 705B trips will operate on Golden Valley Rd., Douglas Dr. and Olson Memorial Hwy.
Route 755
• Buses will operate only during rush hours (see Route 705 for non-rush hour service along
Winnetka, Golden Valley Rd. and Douglas Dr.).
• Buses will operate on Winnetka, Golden Valley Rd., Douglas Dr. and Hwy. 55.
• Route 755B trips will operate on Olympia St. between Douglas Dr. and Winnetka instead of Golden Valley Rd.
• Route 755A reverse-commute trips will be extended to serve Science Industry Park and an area west of Winnetka and south of Medicine Lk. Rd.
• Buses will travel a new route in downtown, traveling on 8th St., 5th Ave., 4th Ave. and 7th St.
• Several timepoints will change on the printed schedule.
• Buses will not stop along Hwy. 55 in north Minneapolis except at Penn Ave. at 7th St. There will be no non-rush hour service on Hwy. 55.
Route 756
• This route will become an express route to downtown Minneapolis. All trips will travel
on I-394, serving General Mills Blvd. Park & Ride and Louisiana Transit Center.
• Buses will travel a new route in downtown, operating on 12th St., Nicollet Mall, Washington and 11th St.
• Several timepoints will change on the printed schedule.
• Service north of Bass Lk. Rd. will become part of Route 767, providing faster service to downtown.
• Reverse-commute trips between Medicine Lk. Rd. and downtown Minneapolis will be available on Route 755.
• New Route 705 will provide non-rush hour service on Douglas, Golden Valley Rd., Wisconsin, 10th Ave., Plymouth, Mendelssohn and Medicine Lk. Rd.
• There will be no non-rush hour service on Boone Ave. north of Medicine Lk. Rd. or along Hwy. 55.
Route 715
• This route will be eliminated. Alternate weekday service is available on Routes 705, 717 and 755. Alternate Saturday service is available on Route 716.
Route 716/717
Route 716
• Saturday Route 716B trips will serve Rockford Rd., Winnetka Ave. and 49th/Fairview west of Douglas Dr.
• There will be no service on Douglas south of Fairview.
• Timepoints will be added at 42nd & Winnetka and Fairview & Louisiana.
• The timepoint at 65th & Zane will be eliminated.
Route 717
• Service will extend west of Robbinsdale Transit Center along 42nd. Ave. & Rockford Rd. to Nathan Ln. in Plymouth for connections with Plymouth Dial-A-Ride.
• Timepoints will be added at 42nd & Winnetka, Nathan Ln. & Cub Foods and 51st Ave.
• Buses will operate on Xerxes Ave. and Brooklyn Blvd. to and from Brooklyn Center Transit Center.
• Route 717 will serve work shifts at Opportunity Partners and United Hardware in Plymouth.
• Schedules also are timed for transfers with Routes 14 and 716 at Robbinsdale Transit Center.
• Service during rush hours will operate hourly to better match customer demand.
Route 760/767
Route 760
• These trips will be eliminated due to low customer demand:
The southbound trip leaving Xylon Ave. & 85th Ave. at 5:43 a.m.
The southbound trip leaving 65th Ave. N. & Brooklyn Blvd. Park & Ride at 7:46 a.m.
The northbound Route 760A trips leaving Chestnut Ave. & 15th St. at 4:29 and 5:15 p.m.
• Some Route 760E trips will serve the A terminal.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match customer demand.
Route 767
• Route 767 buses will no longer serve Boone Ave. north of 63rd. Instead, buses will operate on 69th, Magda, 63rd and Boone Ave.
• The southbound trip leaving 63rd Ave. Park & Ride at 7:46 a.m. will instead start at 69th & Magda.
• The northbound trip serving 63rd Ave. Park & Ride at 4:44 p.m. will extend to 69th & Madga.
• The timepoint at Boone Ave. & Modern will move to 69th & Magda.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match traffic conditions.
Route 850
• Some schedule times will be adjusted to better match customer demand.
• The northbound Route 850F trip that leaves 4th Ave. & 11th St. at 4:50 p.m. will be eliminated.
• The southbound trip that leaves Foley Park & Ride at 5:14 a.m. will be eliminated.
Minnesota Valley Transit Authority
Note: Minnesota Valley Transit Authority will operate a reduced service schedule on the following dates (see details below for changes on Routes 460, 470 and 477):

• July 2, 10, 17, 24 & 31
• Aug. 7, 14, 21 & 28

Route 426
• Trips will leave at scheduled times and will not wait for express buses.
Route 442
• Schedule times will be adjusted.
• Routing will be changed at Burnsville Center to a new stop near Sears Automotive Department.
Route 444
• Specific bus stops will be implemented along the route.
• Routing will be changed at Burnsville Center to a new stop near Sears Automotive Department.
Route 445
• Schedule times will be adjusted.
Route 446
• Schedule times will be adjusted, and connection notes with Route 470 will be revised.
Route 460
• The northbound trip that leaves Burnsville Transit Station at 7:23 a.m. will be eliminated.
• The southbound trip that leaves Gateway Ramp at 4:31 p.m. will be eliminated.
• Schedule times will be adjusted to better match customer demand.
Following are changes for reduced service dates listed above:
Northbound
• These trips from Burnsville Transit Station will not operate: 6:30, 6:56, 7:11 and 7:46 a.m.
• The trips that leave from Burnsville Transit Station at 7:42, 7:50 and 7:55 a.m. will instead leave at 7:43, 7:48 and 7:54 a.m., respectively.
Southbound
• These trips from Gateway Ramp will not operate: 3:34, 4:02, 4:48 and 5:01 p.m.
• The trips that leave Gateway Ramp at 3:44, 3:57, 4:44 and 4:58 p.m. will instead leave at 3:41, 4:01, 4:46 and 5:00 p.m., respectively.
Route 470
• Schedule times on southbound trips will be adjusted for better connections at Eagan Transit Station.
Following are changes for reduced service dates listed above:
• The northbound trip that leaves Eagan Transit Station at 6:53 a.m. will not operate.
• The southbound trip that leaves Gateway Ramp at 4:06 p.m. will not operate.
• The southbound trip that leaves Gateway Ramp at 3:59 p.m. will instead leave at 4:02 p.m.
Route 477
Following are changes for reduced service dates listed above:
Northbound
• The trip from Apple Valley Transit Station at 7:07 a.m. will not operate.
• The trip that leaves 157th St. Transit Station at 6:48 a.m. will instead leave at 6:49 a.m.
• The trip that leaves Apple Valley Transit Station at 7:14 a.m. trip will instead leave at 7:12 a.m.
Southbound
• The trips that leaves Gateway Ramp at 5:02 and 5:17 p.m. will not operate.
• The trip that leaves Gateway Ramp at 4:49 p.m. will instead leave at 4:51 p.m., and the 4:57 p.m. trip from the same location will instead leave at 5:00 p.m. and extend to 157th Street Station.
Route 479
• Schedule times will be adjusted.
• Printed schedules will reflect the new routing.
Route 484
• Notes about afternoon connection times at Eagan Transit Station will change.
Maple Grove Transit
Note: Timepoints and the inset map were changed to reflect the current detours in downtown Minneapolis.
Route 783
• The timepoint at Co. Rd. 101 & 82nd Ave. will move to Co. Rd. 101 & 80th Ave.
