Concrete repairs occurring on University Avenue
Construction crews began repairing concrete along University Avenue the week of April 14. Traffic lanes, bus stops and sidewalks may be temporarily closed as crews remove and replace concrete panels where cracks have developed.
Crews are due to work 10 to 12 hours a day, Monday through Saturday, to complete the work as soon as possible. The contractor making the repairs, Walsh Construction, is paying for the work due to contract specifications requiring replacement of faulty concrete on the Green Line.
Work will occur at 11 signalized intersections – Hampden, Vandalia, Prior, Fry, Snelling, Pascal Griggs, Lexington, Grotto, Dale and Rice. Detours will be posted.
