Ride free on the Vita.mn Art Hop

Minneapolis will host three art fairs the first weekend in August. Visit them all in air-conditioned comfort on the FREE Vita.mn Art Hop.

On Saturday, Aug. 8, and Sunday, Aug. 9, you can ride free between the Loring Park Art Festival, Uptown Art Fair, Powderhorn Art Fair and the Lake Street/Midtown light-rail station – avoid the hassles and expenses of driving and parking!

Hop on a FREE Vita.mn Art Hop bus at any fair or at Lake Street/Midtown station. Buses leave each stop about every 20 minutes.

Vita.mn Art Hop service:
Saturday, Aug. 8, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 9, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Vita.mn Art Hop buses travel in a circuit starting and ending at Lake Street/Midtown Station, serving the fairs as shown below. Travel time between each stop is roughly 15 minutes. Volunteers are available at each stop to assist you.

Park FREE and ride the train

There are more than 2,000 free Park & Ride spaces along the Hiawatha Line. Park at Fort Snelling or 28th Avenue stations and purchase a pass from the ticket machine. An Event 6-Hour Pass costs $3.50, a Day Pass costs $6.

Board a northbound train and get off at Lake Street/Midtown Station. You’ll be steps away from the Vita.mn Art Hop bus stop.

You also can park at one of the free lots near Lake Street/Midtown Station (see map below). It’s an easy walk to the Vita.mn Art Hop bus stop (marked "C" on the map). You also can reach the station on bus routes 7, 21 and 27.
