Beginning in December, most express buses will
travel through the heart of downtown on two streets: Marquette Avenue and 2nd Avenue South.

The City of Minneapolis has reconstructed both streets completely, including new sidewalks and road surface. The sidewalks next to the bus lanes are extra wide to allow more room for pedestrians and transit customers.

Marquette Avenue: Between Washington Avenue and 12th Street, general traffic will travel on two northbound lanes. Two southbound lanes are designated as bus-only.

2nd Avenue: Between Washington Avenue and 12th Street, general traffic will travel on two southbound lanes. Two northbound lanes are designated as bus-only.
