Metro Transit Police headquarters will move June 21

Metro Transit Police Department headquarters at 24th and Minnehaha avenues in south Minneapolis will be closed on Friday June 21, 2019, while it is being relocated. Police headquarters will reopen on Monday, June 23, at its new address: 560 6th Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411.

Property and data requests will not be available during this time but Transit Police officers will still be on patrol.

The new three-story facility is designed to hold more than 300 employees, primarily Metro Transit police officers and support staff, accommodating current staff and allowing for future growth. The headquarters will also provide the Metro Transit Police Department a centralized location, providing for effective officer deployment, and create a more welcoming entry for visitors and community members.
