We're looking for enthusiastic people for fulfilling careers at Metro Transit as public facilities workers, maintenance workers, building technicians, and janitors. Depending on your role, you will help power wash our stops and stations and vehicle facilities; repair, replace, and monitor crucial lighting, safety and HVAC equipment; and remove debris and snow from critical locations, ensuring our world-class transit system keeps moving! Starting pay begins between $21+/hr. and $37+/hr. (depending on position) with benefits and a $4,000 hiring bonus.

Facilities Maintenance positions

Building Maintenance Technician

Helps maintain 1.7 million square feet of office and industrial space in 10 primary locations. Maintains and repairs – ranging from rebuilding, fabricating, and operating heavy equipment for landscape and snow removal to operating sophisticated automated HVAC systems. Must have Minnesota 1st Class C boiler's license to apply.

Public Facilities Worker

Maintain and clean public facilities, transit centers, and Park & Ride facilities. Ability to operate lawn care equipment up to 24 inches wide, including push mowers, weed whips, and leaf blowers. Snow removal equipment will be used as well as industrial cleaning equipment like power washers. Starting pay begins at $21.56/hr. Apply now!
