2010 Officer of the Year:
Leo Castro

Officer Leo Castro was recognized for his exemplary performance and professionalism. Experienced in all assignments from light rail to squad and bike patrol to onboard bus detail, Officer Castro, who joined the force in 2005, primarily patrols in downtown St. Paul.
“Officer Castro is a role model, a prime example of what the department represents and is a credit to the communities he serves, along with the law enforcement community,” said Transit Police Chief Dave Indrehus.

Scott Nolan
Officer Scott Nolan has been a part-time Metro Transit Police officer for more than 17 years. He also works for the City of Anoka Police Department.
“Officer Nolan is committed to customer and employee safety and is viewed by his peers at the department as a professional who will go above and beyond to make sure the correct outcome is achieved,” Chief Indrehus said.
