Get to your destinations faster on Nicollet Mall

We’re making it easier for you to get to destinations faster on Nicollet Mall.

Starting in March, bus routes that serve Nicollet Mall will stop at every other block between 5th and 13th streets, not every block like today.

Also in March, all express bus routes that now operate on Nicollet Mall will move to Marquette and 2nd avenues.

Changes coming to Nicollet Mall are part of Access Minneapolis, a 10-year action plan that addresses a wide range of transportation issues and options in the city of Minneapolis.

These bus routes will continue to serve Nicollet Mall: 10, 11, 17, 18, 25, 59 (the new route number for current Route 829) and 568. We’ll continue to use hybrid buses on Nicollet Mall, creating a welcoming downtown environment for pedestrians, shoppers and outdoor diners.

That’s not all!

You’ll soon be able to take a free-ride bus with weekday service every 10 minutes on Nicollet Mall for an easy ride between the Convention Center and Hiawatha Line. Starting March 20, look for overhead signs on buses that say “Free Ride/Nicollet Mall” and hop on!
