We’re transforming more trips
through downtown Minneapolis

Effective March 20, 13 more express bus routes will move to the reconstructed Marquette and 2nd transit corridor in downtown Minneapolis.

Improvements on Marquette and 2nd avenues were in place in December, dramatically enhancing express bus service.

Thanks to the improvements, you’ll save several minutes per trip through downtown and enjoy an easier and more comfortable transit experience.

New schedules for these Metro Transit bus routes will be available at metrotransit.org on March 6 and on buses March 13:

589, 664, 665, 667, 668, 670, 671, 672, 674, 675, 677, 756 and 825

Route 825 will drop customers off at A stops on Marquette Avenue and pick up customers at G stops on 2nd Avenue.

All other routes will drop customers off at H stops on 2nd Avenue and pick up customers at B stops on Marquette Avenue.

A few reminders

  • Buses traveling in the passing lane will never pick up customers. Board buses only when they are at bus stops.

  • Buses stop every other block on Marquette and 2nd. Stops are organized by a letter system. Just board and get off at the bus stops marked with your route’s letter.

  • Click here to see where your route will stop on the new corridor. Check your route schedule for other stops in downtown.

  • When you hop on your bus leaving downtown, board through all available doors. You’ll pay your fare when you get off the bus at your destination.

  • NexTrip real-time information signs display the estimated departure time for buses approaching your bus stop. NexTrip times also can be played by audio message at each bus stop.
