Many progressive companies know the importance of supporting commuting programs that get employees to and from work without adding to gridlock. Concerns about congestion, high gas prices and air quality prompt many organizations to create programs that expand commuting options for their workers. Has your organization been successful with programs that promote transit, bicycle commuting, carpooling or vanpooling? Do you know of an individual who has been a leader in advocating for smart commuting options? We want to hear more! Help us identify innovative solutions that move us to and from our jobs, get more cars off the road and improve the region’s quality of life. Learn more about the awards. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2007 Commuter Choice Awards. Nominations must be received at Metro Transit by Friday, Oct. 12. We’ll recognize winners at an awards luncheon on Nov. 14. The Commuter Choice Awards program is presented by Metro Transit and the region’s transportation management organizations (TMOs) – 494 Commuter Services, Anoka County TMO, Midway TMO, Downtown Minneapolis TMO and St. Paul TMO.
